How is this calculated?

Each country receives a score from 0-100 based on five criteria:

  • Renewable capacity % (30 pts) — Share of solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass
  • Coal dependency inverse (25 pts) — Lower coal = higher score
  • Recent renewable additions (20 pts) — New clean capacity in last 5 years
  • Carbon-free generation % (15 pts) — Includes nuclear + renewables
  • Plant age inverse (10 pts) — Newer fleet = higher score

Minimum 5 power plants required for a country to be ranked.
