In recent years, Indonesia has recognized the importance of transitioning towards renewable energy sources to meet its growing energy needs and commitments to reduce carbon emissions. The government has set ambitious targets for renewable energy, aiming to increase the share of renewables in the energy mix to 23% by 2025 and 31% by 2050.
