Prinses Amaliawindpark is a 120 MW wind power plant located in the Netherlands, operated by Eneco Groep N.V. Commissioned in 2008, the facility harnesses wind energy to produce electricity. It ranks as the 10th largest wind plant in the Netherlands. With its 120 MW capacity, it represents 3.16% of the country's total wind capacity of 3,799 MW. The Netherlands has 66 wind plants with a combined capacity of 3,799 MW. Compared to the largest wind plant, Gemini at 600 MW, this facility is 20% the size. Wind energy is an increasingly important part of the Netherlands' energy landscape, contributing to the country's goal of reducing carbon emissions. Wind power accounts for approximately 10% of the national electricity generation. The plant is situated in the North Holland province, approximately 30 km from Amsterdam.
