EC Toruń is a 106 MW gas-fired power plant located in Toruń, Poland, operated by Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA. The facility generates electricity using natural gas, contributing to Poland's gas generation capacity. It is the 20th largest gas plant in Poland. With 106 MW, it represents 2.12% of the country's total gas capacity of 4,994 MW. Poland has 27 gas plants with a combined capacity of 4,994 MW. Compared to the country's largest gas plant, Łęg Cogeneration and Power Plant at 480 MW, this facility is approximately 1/5th the size. Natural gas is increasingly significant in Poland's energy mix, providing a cleaner alternative to coal. The EC Toruń plant supports Poland's transition towards more sustainable energy sources while ensuring energy security. The facility is located approximately 200 km northwest of Warsaw.
