Fauji Fertilizer Power Plant is a 118 MW coal-fired power plant located in Pakistan, operated by Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited. It was commissioned in 2017 and contributes to the country's coal energy production. This plant ranks as the 12th largest coal facility out of 16 coal plants in Pakistan. With its capacity of 118 MW, it accounts for 1.12% of Pakistan's total coal capacity of 10,511 MW. The largest coal plant in Pakistan, the Sahiwal Coal Power Project, has a capacity of 1,320 MW, making Fauji Fertilizer about one-ninth the size of Sahiwal. Pakistan has a total of 198 power plants with a combined output of 98,402 MW. Coal plays a significant role in Pakistan's energy landscape, providing around 10.7% of the country's electricity generation. The reliance on coal is part of Pakistan's strategy to enhance energy security and reduce reliance on imported fuels. Fauji Fertilizer is located in the Sindh province, approximately 30 km from Karachi.
