This plant's share is 0.01% of China's total coal capacity of 1,030,281 MW. Its 100 MW capacity is significantly smaller compared to the largest coal plant in China, the East Hope Metals Wucaiwan power station, which has a capacity of 7,000 MW, making Jilin City Works 70 times smaller. The facility is located in Jilin Province, about 100 km southeast of Changchun.
