URUGUA-I is a 120 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Argentina, operated by EMSA since its commissioning in 1991. The plant generates electricity from water, contributing to the country's hydroelectric capacity. It is the 37th largest hydro plant in Argentina. With 120 MW, it represents 0.4% of Argentina's total hydro capacity of 30,334 MW. Argentina has 111 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 30,334 MW. Compared to the country's largest hydro plant, the Corpus Christi Dam at 3,800 MW, URUGUA-I is approximately 1/32 the size. URUGUA-I is situated in the Misiones Province, approximately 200 km northeast of the city of Posadas.
